Gateway 1745 manages all the Qmatic hardware at the Branch and communicates with the central/distributed Queue Agent.
When there are no Qmatic 1745 devices in Branches, the Gateway 1745 software can be installed on the central server. To install the Gateway follow this procedure:
1. Copy the files in the gw1745_* zip file to a suitable directory, for example: C:\QMATIC\Gateway1745. The files are:
• gw1745.exe
• mingwm10dll
• qwebsockets.dll
• gw1745.cfg
• installGWService.bat
• uninstallGWService.bat
2. For each instance of Gateway 1745 that should run on the branch, install a service by executing installGWService.bat. The batch file will create a sub folder for each service named <branchPrefix>_<UnitId> (for example GBG_GW1745) and create a gw1745.cfg file in the folder that the service will use. installGWService.bat will prompt for the following parameters:
• Branch prefix - should be the same as branch prefix in the Orchestra branch administration GUI, as seen below:
Parameter
Default value
Description
Unit id
GW1745

3. Installation Done!
4. Restart the machine (or start the services, using the Services explorer, see below). The GW1745 should start and keep running.
The status of the GW1745 service can be checked by using the Services explorer:
start/run/services.msc
On the displayed list, all services running on the machine will be listed with their Service name.
