Mark Types are typically used for when a Customer Feedback Unit (CFU) of some kind (either an Expressia, or a CFU tablet) is part of your system. Before those units can be set up, Mark Types must be created, in this tab and Marks must be created in the Business Configuration application.
Mark Types and Marks are also used to define the Outcomes that can be connected to Services. For this, there is a pre-installed Mark Type available in Orchestra.
For more information, see the Administrator’s Guide, found on Qmatic World.
Another possible way to use Mark Types and Marks is for NPS® scoring. NPS1 stands for Net Promoter Score. For more information, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Net_Promoter.
There is a pre-installed, default NPS Mark Type available in Orchestra. For this Mark Type, the following marks are available: 0-10 and skip. By default, Codes enabled is disabled and Visible in configuration is enabled for this Mark Type.
When the Mark Types tab is opened, all available Mark Types are listed:
In this tab, it is also possible to delete existing Mark Types.
The pre-installed Outcome Mark Type can, however, not be deleted. Also, it is not possible to update its Id.
To create a new Mark Type, click the Create Mark Type button. The following window is opened:
Here, you enter a Name of the Mark Type. Optionally, enter a Description. Also, decide if Codes should be enabled for the Mark Type and if it should be Visible in the configuration, by checking the applicable check boxes.
When a new Mark Type has been created, it is possible to add Marks to it. This is done in the Business Configuration application.
